Following are the inducements for Member of National Assembly (MNAs) in Pakistan:
Salary & Govt. Concessions for a Member of NATIONAL ASSEMBLY (MNA):
Monthly Salary : Rs. 120,000 to 200,000
Expense for Constitution per month : Rs.100,000
Office expenditure per month : Rs.140,000
Travelling concession (Rs. 8 per km) : Rs.48,000 (For a visit to Islamabad & return: 6000 km)
Daily BETA during Assembly meets : Rs.500
Charges for 1 class (A/C) in train : Free (For any number of times & All over PAKISTAN)
Charges for Business Class in flights : Free for 40 trips / year (With wife or P.A.)
Rent for Govt hostel any where : Free
Electricity costs at home : Free up to 50,000 units
Local phone call charges : Free up to 170,000 calls.
TOTAL expense for a MNA per year : Rs. 32,000,000 (approx.)
TOTAL expense for 5 years per MNA : Rs. 160,000,000
For 534 MNAs, the expense for 5 years : Rs. 85,440,000,000 (about 9000 crores)
Think of the Great Democracy we have…….. & Great Politicians……………

hmmm… 40 officially sanctioned “trips” a year with wife OR pa !?!?!?
i’d definitely hire a young, nubile and very female p.a. if i were to be elected. no danger of being stoned to death here (hudood or no bleddy hudood ordinance)

Oh that’s what they do here too…earn packets of money i.e.
And then they unanimously pass a bill or two every now and then to hike their salaries…
The basic requirements are money or muscle (read ‘criminal record’) or both…
OK – I’m a bit “currency knowledge challenged” here – being from the land of greenbacks, as I am – but I take it these folks make a lot of money?

Can anyone verify these figures?? Most probably true as our politicians are there NOT to serve the people but to serve themselves. I came across a blog on another site..this is what the gentleman had to say, so who is right??

First of all this link is fake and has been circulating since years.it is a propaganda by anti-democracy/anti-parliamentary/anti-pakistan forces to infuse hatred against the politicians amongst the masses.The actual salary of MNA is around 50000 per month.They pay a house rent for their apartments in parliament lodges,they also pay electricity,telephone and gas bills.They get travel vouchers of 150000 per year along with 14 business class tickets per years from their hometown to islamabad.They get around 4000 per day for attending the sessions of national assembly.They get free medical care in hospitals owned by federal government.Ministers dont get money for attending sessions or salary as mna.they only get salary as minister This is nothing compared to money minted by civil servants,members of superior judiciary or armed forces.PTI being a democractic party which believes in change through peaceful and parliamentary means should discourage this type of propaganda against democracy and parliamentarians rather than becoming part of that propaganda.”
The MNA vacancy speaks volumes for your childish mind. Please grow up before I hit at your ass.
